Women Equality Day

Woman - The Mighty Human

Jove Conscious Foundation celebrates Women’s Equality Day on 21st July. This year it was celebrated with great fanfare and in the presence of dignitaries from various sections of the society. The day is dedicated towards all things positive and possible. We talk about various issues which are hampering the growth and development of the women and how to tackle them. This includes sexual abuse, gender-bias, female foeticide, domestic violence etc.

Right to Equality is our foremost right given by the Constitution. It is time we exercise it to its full capacity. We build a society where there is no room for fear. We teach our boys and girls to be mindful of each others existence. We promote equilibrium and we remove hatred from our minds.

JCF organized this event with the sole purpose of generating awareness about our rights. Educating minds and beginning from home. A society is a reflection of the people living in. We cannot change the society unless we bring positive change in us.

Talk show and award presentation

JOVE CONSCIOUS FOUNDATION identified women in the society whose life is an inspiration for many others. Women who never gave up against all odds, women who had the courage to raise their voice against social scavengers, women who suffered, fought and took control of their own lives are designated as “JCF Ambassadors”. These women were bestowed by JCF for their struggle and achievement, for the hundreds of other women they are an inspiration to never back down, an inspiration to raise their voice and most important of all an inspiration to change.

Ramp Walk

To further channelize the power of self-belief, we organized a ramp walk in which participants wore their self-made costumes and walked the ramp. It was an eye-catching and extremely glamourous event; the crowd just went crazy as soon as our model students took over the stage. There were cameras flashing everywhere, everyone wanted to get a closer look at costumes and the make-up art which was performed by Beautician Course students. This event show cased the skills and hard work of our students on a platform that connected them with the community in an all new avatar.

Street Play

Working with an underprivileged community is always challenging but an amazing experience. In order to spread awareness in the interests of community JCF considers every possible way that can be taken. Our street play demonstrated the issues faced by girls and women in the society, which have remained persistent from decades. Issues like child marriage, female feticide, girl education and dowry were show cased, which got the audience quite emotional at times. A message was well delivered to the community that from today onwards there will be “ZERO TOLERENCE AGAINST GENDER DISCRIMINATION”.

GROUP DANCE AND SOLO DANCE

Through this activity our students displayed the courage that a woman needs to defend herself. The performance was dedicated to the strength that resides inside a woman, the strength that needs to be recognized by every woman, because we believe that power needed for the protection and prosperity of a woman is in the woman herself.
