Women’s Equality Awareness Walk

Thursday 28thFeb, 2019

A Women’s Equality Awareness Walk was organized today in Mundka Village by JOVE CONSCIOUS FOUNDATION. The rally was flagged off by Ms. Kalpana Singh (Director-Administration, JOVE CONSCIOUS FOUNDATION).

As a part of our Community Awareness Program, this rally was organized to spread awareness about women equality and rights. Interestingly the event saw the participation of as many as 500 girls and women, who walked the streets of Mundka Village and raised slogans about women equality and rights. It was notable that people came out of their homes to join the rally, as this was the first all women rally in the community. Pamphlets carrying information about the importance of women education and health were distributed along the path.

As a rule, in our ethics book, JCF always pre calculates the feasibility and impact of an event. We zeroed in on Mundka Village because majority of girls from this community are either uneducated or unemployed. And these are the two major factors contributing to women exploitation. Before coming to a halt at JCF skill Training center in Mundka, the rally covered a distance of 5kms inside Mundka Village with full force and enthusiasm. Further, lunch was served to all participants at the JCF skill training center and with slogans “VandeMatram” and “Bharat Mata ki Jai” we had a grand closure of the rally.
